Sr. Enterprise Architect/Architecture Development Team lead

  • Coordinate architecture development team and provide architecture development directions.
  • Conducts and supports the planning and development of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
  • Supports the development of segment architecture artifacts for multiple HHS segments including Capital Planning and Investment control, IT Infrastructure, and Records Management.
  • Develops presentation component of the HHS EA models providing an efficient way to present the EA to business stakeholders.
  • Assists the HHS EA Team in the metamodel design, testing, and deployment.
  • Team lead for the HHS OCIO Collaboration Portal during planning, implementation, release, and maintenance. Built customized workflow processes to automate paper processes. Built custom workflow and web forms to support document review for a large user community.
  • Supported the HHS FY08 submission to OMB.
  • Team lead for the HHS FY07 submission to OMB. The OMB submission was achieved by creating a secure website and a media CD using Macromedia Dreamweaver and Photoshop. This task required knowledge and understanding of all functions and processes of the HHS Enterprise Architecture including the strategic planning, performance, CPIC, EPLC, IPv6, cross-government initiatives and compliance requirements, and all supporting technical aspects.
  • Team lead for the FY07 HHS EA Day conference. Planned and oversaw the execution of all aspects of the EA conference.
  • Team lead for the development and delivery of EA training, including Metis basic, intermediate, and advanced modeling, business process modeling using the customized Business Process Notation (BRMN) and Team Server installation.
  • Supported all technical aspects of the CMS enterprise architecture initiative.
  • Supported FHA-HHS alignment to the HHS metamodel.
  • Developed and released the FHA v0.6 Partners (CD based).
  • Developed and released the FHA v1.0 Federal (web based).
  • Supported the alignment of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to the HHS framework of both the CMS Metamodel and CMS model.
  • Designed a System Report User Interface for CMS Metis users.
  • Maintained an updated HHS EA repository by importing and validating the data received from different data calls from all operational divisions.

Advanced Management Technology, Inc. {June 2004 – March 2005}
Conducted and supported the planning and development of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) for the Federal Aviation Administration, Air Traffic Organization (FAA/ATO).

  • Assisted in executing a consensus-based, participatory EA planning process that identified and documented the client business area activities, data that supported those business activities, applications used to manage that data, and technologies necessary to build those applications.
  • Supported development of Enterprise Architecture standards, policies and guidelines to ensure appropriate application, implementation, and compatibility with government-wide information (architectural and technical standards).
  • Gained familiarity with administrative operations and planning processes of the federal government, including budget planning and execution, strategic planning, performance management, and information security.
  • Mentored new colleagues in the use of Troux Metis and the understanding of the FAA architecture.
